If they jump on me, I knee them in the chest to knock them down. Flicking them in the nose also works. They learn pretty quickly. But most kids go through a jumping stage, so dont be too worried. Just be firm.
Also, if he progresses to jumping fences, then tie a medium length, not-sharp stick (so he cant inpale hiself) to his collar with a short rope. This will hit and sort of wrap around his legs if he tries to jump, and throw him off. After just a day or so or trying, he should give up. But be really carefull, because if the rope is too long, he will strangle or get tangled. I have only used this technique on two goats, but it worked.
