what to call this color?

Getting ready to send in the paperwork on this little guy but can't decide what to put for color description. He has even more white on the other side.

(Please don't look at his horrible scurs/horns! I just got him and haven't yet decided what I am going to do about them!)

what to call this color? - Goats

Yes, he is a nigerian. Cinnamon buckskin seems like it describes him pretty well. Yeah, he does look like something out of starbuck's doesn't he? I was thinking about naming him Rocky Road, but its not in ink yet

Here is a link on Nigerian Dwarf Color Genetics that might prove useful. It has some nice pics of different colors and patterns

Thanks, I did check out that website earlier (among others) and still didn't come up with a clear description. Of course after a while of trying to compare him to those pictures my head started to hurt! I suppose as long as it is pretty close then it is ok...He is a cutie! Can't wait to breed him to some of my girls in a few months!

Broken chocolate buckskin is what I would call him or broken cinnamon buckskin (broken pertaining to the white on him breaking up the pattern). As he is a broken buckskin just what color buckskin . At least thats what I would register him if he was one of my lamanchas.

Yes, the buckskin is being confused by the belly band. He is a broken buckskin (cinnamon sounds good I guess, but tends to make me think more red??), in this newbie's opinion. I was going to give you the foxcroft site but Feral Nature beat me to it! lol

Edited to add: He could be a Bezoar or Repartida - the dark points on his legs suggest bezoar but he has not face stripes, which suggests repartida. The repartida is like the buckskin WITHOUT the face stripes. Also, the repartida has the dark stifle/hip point that the buckskin has but the bezoar apparently does not. I vote Repartida! I also felt like his color was more like caramel but not the caramel pattern so that may confuse things. I doubt anyone is going to know/care unless they use the aforementioned color genetics site! Besides, so many baby papers have a different color than the goat exhibits as an adult.

Belted chocolate buckskin (if that band of white goes most or all the way around). Broken refers to more random patches (not spots) throughout the "base" (in this case, buckskin) color pattern.
Unfortunately, you can't put just plain old "cute" in the description!
