Tattooine Frozen Ears.

No it's not a Star Wars dish, I wanted to make a comment about something that happened recently to one of the baby boer goats on my family's farm.
We took doe and buck that had been born about a week and two days previous and had the one disbudded (doe) and both tattooed. Well with the first one the tattooer (a fellow goat person) felt frozen ears but didn't think much of it and tattoed the buck in the ear accidently including where the ear was frozen and started to bleed. With the doe she went a little higher on the ear and was fine. Both are doing ok except for the buck in one eye as it looks like something poked it and it's filled with crap but that's being treated.

So their ears are ok then but the buck has an eye problem? Does it appear to be infected? Some use triple antibiotic ointment on them, knock on wood, i haven't had to.
