Best of luck to you and Wanda. Whisper 'buckling' in her ears.
I am ready for pictures!

Congrats!
We are just getting into the really heavy part of January kiddings. Liliana delivered twin bucklings around 11AM.
We have two past their due dates, 6 due Friday, 2 due Saturday and another four by February 2nd...then I get a three week break...Wahoo!!

Here's hoping for an uneventful delivery! Go, Wanda, go!

Well... it was a single (I actually like singles in my ff's, as long as they don't get to be HUGE kids and make for hard deliveries) It was a easy birth.. a GIRL.Brown with frost and grey & cream spots. sorry guys.. Marge is next due on feb 4th

Emily, my sig line is from the movie "Practical Magic" one of the aunties says it to Sandra Bullock (who plays her neice.. they are a family of witchy wise women) She is whining about wanting to "just be normal" and the aunt points out how easy it is to be *normal*..

She is just starting to be uncomfortable>>>

So what exactly do you mean by that.......I have a doe who has been "complaining" loudy for the last 24 hours. But that's it. No pawing, no circling, no getting up and down, no goo, etc. I did think late last night her ligaments might be gone and this morning I would say they are for sure gone. But no other physical signs.....and she's a third timer. I checked her a couple of hours ago and I'll check her shortly once I get my human baby kid down for a nap. ; )

I thought experienced moms were faster?

Congrats on your kids. Sorry it wasn't a buck for you. Pics?

Dee

ok, I have it all figured out!
The best way to get a good doeling crop is to offer the boys for free.

Congrats ! and where are the pictures??? you know we still love to see those little darlings!

LOL... yes, that's it.. it was all an evil plan, I offer free bucks ...KNOWING.. that it will cause does upon does LOL... well there are five more ladies (the one due on Jan22, I'm hoping for a buckling for ME.. so of course she'll have triplet does LOL....

MamaDee, you asked what I meant by uncomfortable. Let's see if I can explain it. Wanda was just a bit off last night. (slept in a different spot) I've been watching for several weeks now at night, via cameras in the barn. I began to watch before anyone kidded, so I would know normal, from non-normal. Wanda was restless last night. Up, down, up, down. This morning during feeding she was clingy (she was a bottle baby) when everyone was turned out to enjoy some sunshine, while they ate hay. She was last in line, instead of in the middle. Started to watch her at the hay rake. She was peeing more often then normal. She would lift her ears at time. I'd been checking her ligaments, but she never really did go all that loose (BUT. I KNEW for sure that this was day 153 and I wasn't going to let her go more then a couple more days, without inducing her) When I saw the first light push, I moved her back to the barn. That's when I posted. She got serious about having the baby, within 15 mins or so... pretty typical for births here.
I'll try to get some pics.. what I want to show off is a set of twins born saturday... Nubian (No-Doubt mom) Lamancha (nicely bred buck) equaled ADORABLE elf earred black & white babies.. buck/doe.. wethering him, keeping her... first EVER non-nubian babies for us...
