Lesson on correct udders??

This may sound strange to all you 'long time' goat folks BUT could some of you post pictures of correct and incorrect udders and point out what we should look for?? I see udders and think 'oh my goodness--meaning that it doesn;t look so good, the I see one and think ''too little/too big/too long/ too short/ etc and others are raving....So, could you help me (and other wannabes or new goat folks ) understand what is a correct udder...Thanks QB

First correction: UDDERS. It had the letters D in it.

Are you a member of the ADGA? I know the CGS sells booklets so the ADGA must. I will try to hook up my scanner and show you the udder pages.

Thank you for making the corrections! I feel better now.

Sometimes being a former English teacher is difficult. I go through withdrawal.

Here are some links that I happened to have bookmarked. They are to LaMancha farms that have goats related to my herdsire (in his pedigree). These give you an idea about good attachment and capacity. Hard to see the teat size and placement though on some photos.

One thing that I learned early on when I started raising goats is to check the side view. When viewing from the side, the udder (a good udder) is in 3 sections. First section is in front of the leg, second section is hidden by the leg and third section is in back of the leg.
