What do you think?

Hi all!!!
I posted a little while back about my pregnant doeling due Feb. 16th and well the breeder e-mailed me yesterday and said that she forgot to tell me that one of her bucks got out when Hannah was in heat in August and to watch her around the 22nd.

Well now I am wondering if she is due this month and not next because I saw a string of goo about 1 1/2 ago and of course I did not think any thing of it, but know I am thinking maybe it was her mucus plug?
when I saw the goo it was a long string but I have not seen any since, her vulva is very red and puffy and is slightly open, I have a boer doe due next month at the same time and hers is not even puffy. She has an udder the size of a medium sized cantolope and she is nice and round. I can get pictures tomorrow afternoon( I have a 4H meeting in the morning).

What do you think? I am really hoping she is due next month because she would have only been 6 months old when she was bred!!! And I am not ready, I am hoping that Caprine supply will get here quickly!!!

Thanks Marisa

I have does who sometimes have a little thick white goo at almost any times during their pregnancies. But usually when I see clear thin mucous it is either signs of heat or labour.......but every doe is different. I would just watch her really close.

A couple of my does leaked strings of goo for a good month before they kidded.
Some leak goo early and some dont.
Mine were bright pink and open too during the last month.

Marisa even if she did get bred at 6 months old Winnie was about 5 1/2 months old when she got bred as she kidded out as a 10-11 month old and she did just fine and dandy. I would just like everybody is saying keep an eye on her and see what she does. But even if she is due earlier like I said Winnie was bred quite young and she did fine (she wasn't a big kid to begin with either as you know).

ps: let us know what happens!

Thanks Everyone,
Well that is reassuring that Winnie did fine because Hannah just looks so small, she is Feb. kid but her lines are on the shorter side, I guess I should stop worrying so much.

Don't worry I will let everyone know what happens and I will post pics when she kidds.
I guess if she is due this month I better start cleaning out the kidding pen.

Thanks Marisa

Even Savannah who was bred the same time and was the same age did just fine and dandy when she kidded out. You would be surprised at how well they can do .
