ADGA site LA history page?

This doesn't give the LA score, does it? am I supposed to be able to figure it myself from the 'raw field scores'?

I haven't had any luck with that site at all... but then again I'm searching NDs and we never seem to have all the ADGA information available to us (yet!).

There are two different sites with linear score info on them- Adgagenetics and adga.org.

Adgagenetics has the USDA public information, like pedigree, milk records, and raw linear data. It also has SG/SGCH, since the SG award is based on PTI scores calculated by the USDA. Adgagenetics is not a part of ADGA, but privately maintained with USDA info by Gene Dershowitz of Missdee's Alpines.

Adga.org has the awards given by ADGA- CH, GCH, *M and +*B, Top Ten,
National Chs, and final linear scores. This information is accessible by ADGA members only. Members can register & then access this information via the portal on the right upper corner of the ADGA home page.

So if you'd like to get final scores, you'll have to go through the ADGA.org site. It's not possible to figure out the final LA score from the raw data- there's a bunch of other stuff that goes into the FS.

Hoofinit- ADGA doesn't seem to have Nigie pedigrees beyond the double registered AGS/ADGA individuals. The USDA-AIPL doesn't have ND milk records either. And there won't be SG Nigerians until there is enough milk & linear data to determine which ones are actually "superior".

on the info site for members you will also get the actual dhir numbers and not the prospected numbers. they are very different than the numbers you find on miss dees page.

There are two different milk numbers on the Adgagenetics site. The "Production Eval" gives the projected numbers- the Mature Equivalent lactation. The ME uses a formula to project what a doe will make as a four year old. This gives us a number to compare does of different ages on an equal basis.

The really interesting milk records are under "USDA Data". This is a direct link to all of a doe's past and current milk records, both by annual total and by monthly test. These records are updated three times a week. The ADGA members site has completed lactations only.

I was on the adga genetics page... all I get is the raw field scores and I have no idea what any mean, what the scale is, or what a desirable score would be.

mygoat, do you need LA scores for specific animals? I can look them up on the ADGA members website for you.

AnnaS - can you get LA numbers for NDs there? I think I tried and couldn't (I'm an ADGA member with online access too).

I think it's strange that the USDA site doesn't recognize the ND animal registration numbers for data (meaning they don't make it available in the searchable database) because they sure collect the data!

Yep, I just went to ADGA.org and looked up a few Nigie LAs in the members only section. They have some of the completed lactations too.

USDA-AIPL Beltsville is very accessible. Just call them up and ask about the invisible Nigerian records. I had DHIA record problems with Agritech (switched to DRMS) and made many calls to AIPL for corrections. They were always helpful and informative.

Nevermind, I figured it out! I didn't know you could get the scores through the membership site. That's a handy bit of info!
