RIP Minnie

We lost that little doe I was bottle-feeding. She was perfectly fine in the morning - down competely by the afternoon. She had been playing with the dog in the morning, following me around the house - she went down fast. I'm thankful to have had her for as long as we did.

Sorry you lost Minnie. If I had to venture a guess as to why this happened, I'd have to say it was because she didn't get enough of her mom's colostrum. You said you tried to milk her dam and couldn't get enough so there was probably nothing more you could have done for this kid. When your other does kid, harvest some colostrum, heat treat it and freeze it. This way, you'll have some if you ever wind up in this situation again.
