Samson, our pygmy, finally let me pet him...

but he kept trying to butt my hand. He has always been standoffish with me. He will put his front hooves up on my hubby and just stand there. He will follow hubby around as hubby feeds the rabbits, chickens and ducks. When I do this chore, he keeps his distance with me but today I put some of his food in my hand and let him eat. I have done this before and he would eat but when I tried to touch him he would run. Today he let me rub his face and up around the horns. However, when I rubbed around the horns he would try to butt my hand. Is this normal or is it "bully" behavior? He still wouldn't let me touch him any where else.

It's not about moving mountains but about digging the ground that you're on.

I would rather be a "has been" than a "never was."

none of my goats like me to really mess with their horns, does or bucks. So I would say it was pretty normal behavior

All of our goats get a animal cracker daily as a treat, maybe you could bribe him with cookies. You be the only one to give him this treat daily, that way he will think of you as the treat lady. They also like raisens.

Some of our goats will let us handle them by the horns and some won't. I have one goat that will only let me catch her by the horns.

Thank you. I will try to avoid the horns when I pet him. I will also become the "treat lady"
