Red face Breeding Question

I have a doe bred one week ago. She stood for him, hunched her back. Today she has a creamy, mucusy discharge and the buck is interested in her again. She is not standing for him but is not running away in a panic either. Normal? I could understand if the breeding did not take, her coming back into heat in about 3 weeks - but only one week later?

I'd like to know the answer to that one, too!

I've had does short cycle like this. It is fairly common(especially if they breed on the first heat of the season) and nothing to worry about unless they keep doing it, then you have a cyst or something of that nature causing it.

I've been told they sometimes have sort of a pseudo heat about a week after breeding.

Strange, susanne! Is she cystic, by any chance?

Well, it only lasted about a day. I will keep her in with him and watch what happens. I will also mark yesterday for a possible breeding date, just in case. Hopefully will have babies from her from one of them! Nice to know this happens. Thanks everyone.
