I have been in hidding until now!

I have been a reader of all your posts, now I am the mamma to 3 goats, 2 babies and 1 about 1 yrs, used to raise them awhile back, but we had moved to a deed restricted area and goats were not welcome....
Anyway, I went to the auction yesterday with the intent to just buy larger older ones, picked out a few, wrote their numbers down, was only getting nannies nothing special just some for clearing and keeping as pets, not for breeding and told DH I wasn't going to buy babies.....well I heard the crying followed it and there was these 3 little babies.....how could I just leave them, got to get 2 both bucklings planning on wethering them as soon as they drop, both took to my fingers, so off I went to the feed store, bought baby bottles, drench, got the C+D, had to buy the t seperate, so I can not for the life of me remember how much to give them, thought 2 cc but then this isn't all mixed together, want to give them before I take them off the trailer....help please? Since I couldn't get to the grocery store yesterday, today I plan on going to get yogert and whole milk, that is what all my other babies were on when mamas wouldn't take them....they are eating some of the branches we dropped in the trailer along with hay grass and some meat goat feed we bought, but the older one only wanted the hay, we did put up the divider guess the older one doesn't want the babies around, not now anyway.....The older one is a beautiful boer!
I would like to say, I love this site, been hanging around for along time, couldn't remember my password then for some reason this morning I just typed one in and it worked.....yeah.
Anyway, congradulations to all those wonderful little babies heres, and you all have wonderful looking goaties....We live outside Cleveland Texas...hope to visit with all of you more.....Thanks
Please remind me of the shot amount....Prices seemed to be up at the auction too, bought my boer for $77, then the babies $22 each. There were some really wonderful boers bucks going around $200, wish I could have gotten one, but don't want to breed. Better run, babies to feed!

Welcome. You are twice blessed. Once with this forum and again by location. There are some very smart goat people in your area. You may look into joining

http://dairygoatinfo.com

It doesn't look like the link is going to work but you can google it.

Good luck with your goats and please post pictures as soon as you can.

Mook, congrats on your goats. The babies can have regular whole store cow milk warmed but not hot. Unsweetened yogurt is good for the probiotics. CDT is 2cc any sized goat SubQ (under the skin), a series of 3, every three weeks I think, notes not here. How are their stools? Good berries? No diarrhea? Are they pee-ing well?

Yes, join www.dairygoatinfo.com

Vicki, who runs that forum lives right near you in the Cleveland Texas area.

Thanks you all! I have already joined the other forum, now I am trying to find the time to get there. Always come here first, just like to read. I am not totally new to goats, just wasn't thinking I would get babies, just wanted some to have here, now I am bottle feeding them like I did my other bottle babies, forgot how much time it is, one is coughing and also had a loose stool, but stool is good now, just dealing with the cough. I need to run, my father in law is in the hospital and mother in law is on the phone. Til later. Again Thanks everyone!
