Question Rainbow tail arch indicate labor?

I fed my pregnant does at lunch and all was "normal". Some have goo, btu they've had that. I can't figure out the ligament thing. Their utters look pretty tight and full to me. I've had goats for several years, btu I have just learned that I am bad at writing down breeding dates and thus always am convinced that the does will kid weeks in advance to their due dates (mainly because of my excitement level). Anways, tonight when I checked them, I noticed FOUR of the does have arching tails (think like a rainbow that ends pointing down). I didn't see that at lunch. So, has anybody noticed this before in a very pregnant doe, and if so, how many days later (hours later?) did the doe kid?

I have one thats had her tail like that for 3 days. Her ligs have fallen, but are not mush yet. Her udder is huge and hard as heck. Her pooch is visually open.
I wish I could tell when mine will pop. LOL

My other 2 have softer udders but basically all are the same.

I never heard that a rainbow tail is a sign of labor, but I dunno, maybe.
Are your does fat? They ligaments are way harder to feel on blubbery does.
Hey, but good luck! Hope they kid soon so you can breathe!

Talking

I feel obsessed watching them, too, and you should see the look my husband gives me if I ask him to glace at the goats when he is outside to see if there was any changes that indicate an upcoming kidding. Poor guy.
I remember about 7-10 years ago, I saw somebody with a I love goats bumper sticker, and I thought that was weird. Now, I read goat books and links during my free time and I love to just hang out with the goats and horses. They are relaxing to be around, and the children and I need to relax after a long day at school! These days, with kidding aorund the corner and a buck that seems to want to challenge me all of the sudden, I havent' been so relaxed!

Next time the buck challenges you, grab him and throw him to the ground and sit on him. DON'T let him up until he relaxes and "gives up". It can make a big difference in attitude. Especially if done in front of the girls. One hint though..make sure you have on old clothes as they could get smelly!

Key,
I do watch for the rainbow tail. Now for me, my girls get that way when they are like really close. It is because they have no ligaments to hold the tail up. I was told that was kind of a tale tale sign, but from what others have said I guess it is not.
Maybe my girls are just different. I have one girl that her tail will not go straight up anymore and she is due any time.
