How much do you pay for fecal testing?

Just curious...I plan on taking some goat matter to be tested next week to the vet. $10 per goat and test. Is that bout' right? Any ?s or anything I should ask b4 I have the tests done?

Do they use a chambered slide so they can give you a worm egg count? Telling you yes you have worms or no you don't is really meaningless. Can they identify the worms for you? $10 is the going rate.

Make sure you pick up ultra fresh poop, I use a ziplock like a glove inside out, wait for someone to poop and pick it up. Keep it cold until you take it in. Find out what worms you have and the number of eggs per gram, then if you need to worm, worm, then 7 days later take in another sample and see if your wormer and it's dose worked on those worms.
