Doeling Down!

Went out to feed this morning and had a doeling down in the barn. She was flat on her side. I now have her in the bathroom and she is on her stomach with her head up. She was fine at 9PM last night.
She is Boer
4 months old
temp is 101*
food is oats, corn, beet pulp once a day
free choice hay
free choice baking soda
free choice loose minerals
fresh water
She is let out during the day to browse (grass pasture) and penned up with her mother and 4 other goats at night in a small pasture with their barn.
I gave her Vitamin B Complex this morning (oral) and sone CMPK paste.
What could it be?

Could be enterotoxemia - do you have C&D antitoxin? If it is not entero, it will not hurt to give her this.
Is she at all bloated?
Did she eat anything unusual? Are there poisonous plants in your pasture?
Activated charcoal would address accidental poisoning.

Just my first two thoughts.

She is not bloated, rumen is working normal (I can hear it), she is chewing her cud.

I don't have any C&D antitoxin.

Ok-- if her rumen is working and you can hear it, it is probably not that. Entero usually sets in when the rumen activity has slowed. ...at least that has been our only experience with it. Cud chewing is good, too.

Does she have any clear injuries? hoof, hip, any swelling that you can see? Something that would make her want to stayy off her feet?

I can't see anything. She also has berries for poo. There was someone shooting behind our pasture last night and scared the goats, I thought maybe she got trampled or something when they got scared. I picked her up and carried her into the house and she didn't cry or anything. I can't feel anything broke. She will stand if you stand her up but not for long.

Has she been wormed? With what?

I would look at the possibility of goat polio. Give her a shot to thiamin subQ. If it's not polio, the B1 won't hurt her. If you think she may be reacting to the shooting (is there any possibility she may have gotten shot with a pellet or BB?) it would be a good idea for her to see the vet today.

Goat polio was my first thought but is she having any neurologic issues that are usually associated with polio?

I presume you looked her over for any wounds that could have been caused by a gunshot (even small pellets from a shotgun)? Is anyone else showing signs of illness or injury?

PLEASE get some C&D anti-toxin to have on-hand. It is easily found and very inexpensive (a couple of dollars for a vial). It is a MUST-HAVE for all goat owners.

Just got home for lunch.
She's in the bathroom, there is poo on the floor (berries). She is up walking around and hollering so I guess I will put her back out with her mother.

OK, I can see small white worms in the poo. She has never been wormed.

Are the worms segmented?
