Kidding time same every year??

I was told by sheep and goat breeders that if you write down the time they kidded/lambed you can get a time to look for kids. Is this true?? I have all the times down and only 1 is very early! I can't wait to see but was wondering if any one noticed anything

I had heard that and asked about it. Everybody I talked to didn't think there was anything to it. I have limited experience. But have one doe that has kidded here twice. She was true to her due date, but 9 plus hours difference in kidding time. I have 2 does that will kid again this year. But will have to wait until March to see what time the go!!

Breeding time

I breed in the evening when I get home from work. When the does kid its always been in the evening after 5PM.The only one That I had to kid in the morning before work was an accidental breeding. ( 9 years so far.)

The breeder where I got Gretta said ALL his goats give birth around 10-10:30 am. I have a hard time believing that though...but I do seem to plan my days to home during that time

Molly- Boer- Bred Aug 8 @ 11 am.
Lily - AlpineX - Bred Oct 27@ 3 pm
Taffy- Boer - Bred Oct 1 @ 4:30pm
Nelly - Boer - Kidded 10 am this year - bred Oct 1 @ 4:40 pm (Was let in with buck next day.)
Beth - Nubian - Kidded @ 1 am this year - bred Oct 2 @ 4:30
Faith - Nubian - kidded @ 6 am this year - bred Oct 19 @ 9pm
Rihanna- Nubian - kidded @ 4pm this year - bred Oct 3 @ 6 pm (Buck jumped fence at night so wasn't sure what time she was bred. )

So please tell me! I do hope all follow their order this year again, but Beth at 1 am was a little cold and that was the hardest kiding this year.

I had heard that too. Well, in May/June my girls had their first kids. They just kidded again.
Here are their times:

Lily June - Bet. 11pm and 1am - Dec. 1pm
Daisy June - 10pm - Dec. 6:30pm
Wilma June - 4pm - Dec. 8:30 am

I have heard that in summer, they kid later in the day to avoid the heat of the day.
In winter, they kid in the morning or midday. This is true of my girls so far except Daisy's Dec. kidding. But I think she was out of sorts. Lily had had her kids on the 12th and Wilma had had hers that morning. She didn't know where to go. I caught her in the middle of kidding, right by the very drafty barn door, in the middle of a blizzard! We have a large barn with a lot better places than that. I think the other moms already had their kids where she wanted hers. Things were in an uproar for that first day. They have settled down now. We don't have any idea what time any of them were bred.
