This is an off topic thread, but some of you know what my family has been dealing with for just over a year, and you may not check the homesteading families board for the updates.
My grandson, age 3 1/2, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma just after Thanksgiving Day of 2006. He's been undergoing very aggressive treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ever since ... just about a year and ten days since he flew to Memphis in an air ambulance
Today, all the test results are in, and he has been declared cancer free!

He will be taking an oral med/chemo for about 16 months, but the main battle seems to be won.
My son is giving up Navy helo aviation and transferring to Memphis to work in the Navy POW/MIA office. Living there will facilitate the aftercare logistics.
I am overwhelmed, happy, ecstatic, thankful, and still processing the thought that Cole is fine. I catch myself saying, "Well!" Nothing else follows.

This is a very special day!
