Fence climber

My 2yr old pregnant (about 4 months) goat has all of a sudden figured out she can climb the fence.

Besides locking her up or tying her up, what can I do?

The fence is woven wire 2"x4" spacing and it's 4' high.

Run an electric fence wire around the top.

Run an electric wire around the inside of the fence about nose-high. Lay her nose on it and be sure she knows its HOT. A HOT wire should stop any climbing problem.

Stopped on the road to see most of my neighbors goats on the wrong side of the fence. Wondered how they were getting out as the fence looked fine. As I sat there a goat would climb an oak tree that has lost all of its leaves, walk out one of the branches overhanging the fence and jump down. Slick as you please. Goats are too darn smart for our own good.

Build a higher fence? Our fence is 6' and the goats will only climb a little ways. I can't use 4' fence because one of my ND does has decided she can JUMP (yes JUMP) a 5' sheer wall! Grumble, grumble, grumble. And no, she's nowhere near being overheight! lol
