Lets settle it now!

Me and a friend have been fighting over who is better! "Brain Dead Nubians" or "Evil Toggenburgs!"

What is your pick?? If you don't like any of these breeds then JUST DON"T VOTE! Neither is not aloud!

Awww, these are the two I have and love.

How about they each have their own pluses and minuses?

Toggs here: Nubians are no match when it comes to Toggs in terms of brains and smarts. THey're conniving little buggers...just like cats.

Toggenburgs all the way, love their feistiness, I have seen my Toggs do things my Nubians would never dream of.

Huh! Goats are sheep - with brains!!!

I have a Toggenburg wether, and DH says he's evil. I also have a NubianX and she isn't brain dead by any means. I love 'em both.

I think Nubians are easier to fence!

I have an alpine that is named "Naughty Daughter" that makes a daily visit to the neighbor's and knows when the upstairs door is unlocked. I have a mostly nubian that can open sliding doors and chews thru baling twine patches. Neither of these two are "evil" just independent. Both will come a running to me if I yell their name....or lay on your blanket with you on the lawn. Best two foragers I have. A cross between the two is nubian and alpine is quite gentle and BIG!
Now I had a nasty/poorly behaved nubian doe brought back recently as well as her sweet triplet sister. I'm winning the battle....she only gets grain if she eats out of my hand. No more bristling or butting....and I had to hold her in order for buck to get her.
The bear will be a pussycat before you know it! First goat I've had to act like this....

I love them both, but for milk, I prefer Nubians. For fun I like Toggs. Neither are "stupid", but Nubians are easier to keep in a fence. My Toggs and Alpines could be in a fence that will hold water, and by morning, the goat may be gone, but at least I have the water! lol Since my goats are for milk, I voted Nubian.

I prefer Nubians. I think they get along better with each other than the other breeds. It's really a matter of individual preference, though.

I miss my Nubbies so much. I feel that I had a special connection with my Libby. She was not brain dead in the least. She was smart, sweet, affectionate and inquisitive.
