Question Is she PG

I want you all to look at these photos an tell me if she is PG or not. To us she looks as she is getting more of a belly but want your all thoughts on this or are we just getting our hopes up for nothing?

When was she bred and do you have an udder shot? Hard to tell anything from the pics not knowing what she looked like in the past. My goats are round like that when they are not bred so would need to see a pic of yours not bred. That being said, i do see the pouch you are seeing.

Goats don't really get a baby belly like, say, people. Baby goats do most of their growing in the last six weeks. But because of the rumen, a goat belly can look enormous one day and half-starved twelve hours later. It's just not possible to tell from photos.

There is a blood test by Biopryn that can diagnose goat pregnancy. A vet could ultrasound her. There are some people who can look at a goat's vulva folds and tell if she's pregnant.

It's rather rare for a goat to NOT get pregnant if she has access to a male. If she's been hanging out with a buck, she's very likely pregggers.

Yep, rare to not get pregnant and by "hanging out", well, it just takes a second....so if she were mine, and she had been with a buck, I would treat her as if she were pregnant and watch that udder for signs of enlarging and getting tight and shiney and the vulva for getting large and loose with discharge. These things can happen from weeks to days before kidding..

Another clue might be comparing the right side to the left (rumen side) in the last weeks of pregnancy, since the kids are carried on the right. If the rumen is fairly empty but the right side bulges, she's probably pg. Softening ligaments and a full udder will be noticeable shortly before kidding also. First fresheners don't always "look" pregnant (large) like experienced dams do.
