Listeria from goats to dogs?

I have a dog who is really dizzy and tipping to the side. She definitely loves eating goat poop when she can sneak in there and drinks raw goat milk. I'm hoping it's an ear infection but am wondering if there is a chance she could have listeria. One of my goats had it and I'm a little nervous. Any ideas?

I know people should not drink the milk of a goat withj listeria. I would take the dog to the vet and let him/her know you had a sick goat. The dog needs veterinary treatment whatever the case.

I believe listeria is potentially transmissible to humans, so I imagine it's transmissible to dogs, too. I'd get your doggie to the vet.

Listeriosis is most definitely transmittable/zoonotic. Did you have a goat with it?? If you had a goat with it, the vet should have sent you home with antibiotics for the other animals that are around the goat that could get it...

Could it be canine vestibular syndrome?

That can cause head tilt and loss of balance without a fever or anything else that would indicate an infection. Comes on suddenly, usually leaves on its own.

Hope the dog is doing better.
