What about rye hay?..

My FIL has round bales of his rye grass he baled this past summer. I was thinking of putting it on the outside of my panels for the goats to eat. Would that be ok for them, or just stick with the grass & alfalfa hay I'm getting in the square bales...or both? I've got a nubian wether, small mixed doe, & 2 pygmys. Thanks! ~Kyla
