Question possible preg goat was bleeding

One of our does was bred Sept 30. About 8 days ago, she started bleeding slightly. I thought she was probably miscarrying. Since we have no goat vets in this area, I thought nature would have to take it's course. She didn't act like she was hurting, but when she got on milk stand to be fed, about 1 tsp. of blood/fluid dripped out of her. It lasted about 5 days. Now she's presenting signs of being in heat. She lost about 5 lbs. in 2 weeks, but she seemed a little overweight. I'm afraid to try re-breeding her until she's had a chance to 'heal' if indeed she was pregnant and miscarried. What you you all think? Do goats ever just bleed for no apparent reason? I mean...it's not like they have menstrual cycles...but she didn't pass any large matter. Of course, if she WAS pregnant, it would only be a 6-week old fetus. How big would that be? I may have missed seeing it, as I only see her a couple of times a day.

There is nothing to heal this early. Most folks never see a misscarriage this early, there isn't much blood, a smear with a very wet tail. The kids were not even growing yet, maybe implanted but no placenta yet either. Rebreed her.

It's hard not to put human emotions onto all this, but 1 in 7 pregnancies slip (not much seein even in us but a heavy period) in all mammals. In goats we blame it on a young buck, a doe who didn't ovulate but was in heat. Vicki

The very same thing just happened with my very overweight Pygmy. She came in to eat all messy/bloody in the back end. She ate well, showed no signs of distress, and about 5 days later came back in heat. I shut her in, away from my buck, but 21 days later, another heat.. He rebred her, so, we will see if it hapens again.
