DGJ Nubian buck judging contest Nov./Dec. issue

I was contacted about two months or so ago by DGJ, they had stumbled across pictures of my two bucks on my website and wanted to submit them for use in their Nubian buck judging contest. I was thrilled and said okay of course <grin>. They ended up using one set of pictures, the pictures of my homebred buck, Austin. I was very surprised and glad when I found out he won the class! And the side view picture of him wasn't posed and it was taken in full hair in February! I have never done the real live buck show thing, I think I might just have to drag him to a buck show this spring. I have one daughter out of him who was shown a few times this year and won reserve champion at one show and grand at another so she has her dry leg and she has been bred back to her father Austin. That should be an interesting cross. I bred Austin to all of my does this year because my other buck has been leased out all fall. So if anyone is interested in kids out of this pretty boy, there will be plenty.
