I thought I would post a picture

I was out today taking pictures of a ram lamb I have for sale and my little doeling was following me around, so I took a picture.

Here she is, July first born.

What do you all think? It was just a random shot, she is probably standing in a whole, for that slope.

I'm used to sheep, so I think at that age she should be alot bigger than what she is...what do you think?

I thought I would post a picture - Goats

Melissa, is she papered? She looks good for her age, you always think your animals are to small till you see another one the same age

I'm only a goatman wannabe, so I don't have the eye for size and conformation yet, but I do know that she's as pretty of a specimen as far as eye appeal as I've seen. Her markings are unique and beautiful. That whole herd pictured looks very well cared for.

melissa she is pretty and looks well grown to me for a july kid.
she looks a little bit steep in the rump, and might has a little bit to much ear control.her back legs are looking a little bit posty.
nice strong back and god body length.
let her grow a bit more and she will still change

Thanks Guys, I will try getting some better pictures. And since she isn't on grain, just pasture and the odd mouthful of grain when I feed the sheep.

She isn't papered, I have papers for her dam, but I never bothered papering her, her dam's dam isn't registered so she wouldn't be registered as purebred anyways.

I have a goat and a lamb born the same day and they have been together since. The goat was bigger in the beginning and the lamb soon outgrew the goat, still best of friends and the funny thing, the goat sounds like a lamb when she calls out. I can never tell who is making all the racket. Lambs at 6 months should be slightly over 100 Lbs and growing, so goats are definitely smaller.

BTW, georgeous doeling, love the spots.

GORGEOUS little doeling!!! I have saanens and they all look alike pretty much (though I can tell who is who). I would love nubians... dh thinks they make too much "noise" ... but he has only visited ONE farm with them... sorry, I digress...

She is very pretty and yes, goats are a bit smaller than sheep. (Unless you have mini breed sheep! LOL!!).

Good luck with her and enjoy!!

How could anyone NOT just love her? She is sure a keeper. She reminds me of a fawn. (minus those adorable ears)

thanks Everyone.

Oh I know how large lambs can get, I show and raise them. My Market Lamb at 6 months was 127 lbs at the auction. So alot larger than a goat at that age!!

She shure is cute, my first doeling ever, I sold her brothers a little while back. This little girl will come up beside you like a dog and hold her head up to your side, she wants you to scratch right behind her horns! Its so cute. She stands there with her head crooked.

Thanks Everyone.
