cold weather ?

My nubians ears often get wet when they drink. I worry that their ears will get wet and cause them to get frost bitten. What can I do to prevent frost bite other than changing the size of the water buckets?

I live in Montana, where it gets really cold in the winter. I water my goats with one of those 50 gallon poly tubs. My Nubians have never damaged their ears drinking from it. The only cases I've seen of goats with frostbitten ears were babies who were born in frigid weather and not taken inside to dry them. I wouldn't worry about older kids or adult goats getting frostbitten ears, especially as far south as you live.
