Made/making more pens!
Well, I took the day off of school today and worked on building a separate pen for my alpines. I'm no fencing whiz but I got a nice temporary pen completed. The fence is strung loosely and stretched by hand, and the 'gate' is where it meets our permanent fence line and it's just twisted together. But it works. My dad will be home from North Dakota this weekend, so we'll be able to make a better pen sometime next week.
I'm trying to decide if I should make 2 pens, however, as I have two goats I highly suspect are positive and just recently 'got' cae and therefore aren't testing positive (I hear it takes 6 months) and then I have 2 others who tested positive.
I'm also going to make 4 kid pens... 1 pen for doelings out of 'clean' parents, 1 pen for doelings out of positive parents... and two more likewise for the bucklings.
I want to make all these pens out of cattle panels for the adults and hog panels for the kid pens.
I also have to run electricity out there for water deicers... drat.
