Gosh, look at all the people that chose pets! I feel less like a dilettante now, lol.

We are thinking of breeding our girl this fall, but I want to make sure I have time to take care of more goats, and also do a daily milking. So the jury is still out on that one. I'd love to learn how to make goat's milk soap, though.

There needs to be more options. Most of us probably don't keep goats for just one reason, or we have a mixed herd of production, show, and meat goats.

I'm addicted to milk, any milk, gotta have it...

I am tickled/grateful/fortunate/blessed/lucky to be able to have my own personal milk supply.

I chose household production because that's what we're doing right now.

They will also be kept to keep brush down, show, and breed and produce better and better kids. I'll probably do some hobby work in soap and cheeses too but don't expect I'll ever be a big commercial operation.

Because I've loved goats since I was a child, and because they make great pets.

I never thought I'd find myself owning acreage. So when I did, goats were the first thing on my list

I have them for brush clearance, baby making ( eventually) a buck to make the babies and some babies as pets cause they are so darn cute and they still eat the brush.

I chose "Household Production". I got goats exclusively for the milk production for our own personal use. I'm planning on making soap and cheese for personal use as well.

Though they are not pets, I am growing very fond of them and I'm actually a little sad that the barn will be done soon and they won't be at the back door anymore

I have mine for pets and milk for the house. Don't think I could eat them even though I have been told how tasty they are and I know nothing about showing goats.

Too bad there wasn't an option to vote for more than one. We keep them for milk, brush control and entertainment.

We got one cuz it was only 2.50 at auction, so far that's the only reason I can come up with.
The other one is for milk.
