Goat urine question

I met a woman recently that has goats. I was hoping to get advice about what else...pregnant goats.
Anyway she has this wonderful little goat, a pygmy fainter. I told her if she ever gets out of the goat business I got dibs on her! She told me that I would not want that goat since she has a urinary problem and won't live past a year old. She says that the goat cannot hold her pee.
She had two like this before and a year old was all the lasted. She was told that only surgery could correct it and that would cost $3,000.
When I try to google this all I get are hits about male goats and urinary calculi.
Has anyone heard of this? If so what is the treatment?
Thanks

So this woman has already had 3 goats in her herd needing $3,000.00 worth of urinary surgery? or they won't last a year? She has either been misled by the vet or she has some other problem in the herd and is blaming it on that. or perhaps she misunderstood the vet?

Now if there is a weird quirky genetic defect that keeps coming up, maybe...but doubtful. if her feeding program is way off, then renal calculi in a female goat...I have seen it once in an old abused doe, but 3 times in young female goats...something would have to really be wrong.

Oh, and if the goat cannot hold it's pee, it sounds like it could also be a breeding or birthing injury...but three times in one herd?

Renal calculi can be cured or does it require surgery?
She told me what she feeds them it was some type of goat food that I do not have at my feed store, but I cannot remember the name.
I know she does not do minerals.

She has lost the first two by the time they were a year old and tells me their main problem was the not being able to hold their pee. Her vet told her it can be fixed surgically for 3 grand. This is horse and cow country so when you find a vet chances are they do not have a clue.

The current one is on the small side for a pygmy/fainter. Other than those two things she seems healthy, pretty good coat, clear eyes and very lovable. She was busy sucking on my hair ( freshly washed!) and licking me to get my attention. She is not quite a year old so maybe she can grow a bit more.
I would love to find out what this could be so they would stop dying needlessly. Their are not mine but I do feel bad for them.
