Hi there, I've missed you'all.
Its been a long, tiresome move. Its almost over, with just some odds and ends, some fencing and my big milk stand to move still. Need to finish cleaning out the basement as well. Can't wait till its truly over and I can concentrate on what needs done here at the new place. The guy who lived in my trailer before was so sloppy and careless about trash and recyclables. I have found piles on top of piles of glass, metal, plastic and wood. And I keep finding more under the brush as it dies back.

Its going to be a project for sure.
The goats are all moved and in cattle panel pens for now. I hope to get all the electric fencing up during this winter and be able to let the girls out for some true browsing in the spring. They have a sizeable pen now, but nothing like what they need to be able to browse. They should all be bred now. At this point they have a temporary tarp and panel hoop-house set against my semi trailer. The barn construction starts next week......hopefully.
The doelings never missed a beat and are happily ensconsed in their calf hutches. They do wonder where all the browse went and have told me in no uncertain terms that they prefer greens over hay. They are all bred but one who will be bred this month.
The bucks are doing fine, Sinbad, Junior, Little Buddy and Tuxedo are all together and enjoying each others company again. Lover Boy, the Lamancha buckling is penned next to the doelings and I have aquired a new handsome Lamancha buck, Brega's Phantom Wind(aka, "Windy"). Windy is housed separately now, as I never introduce new bucks while they are in rutt. He is the pickiest eater while in rutt that I have ever owned. But he does his job with fervor!

He is covering two doelings this year, as I was almost finished with breeding when I brought Windy home. That knocked Lover Boys quota down to one doeling......but the young guy had to play second fiddle to the older buck.
The weather was very nice for moving, up until two days ago when the wind picked up, the temps dropped and the rain came down. I was glad to see the rain, but we are mighty cold at this time. I'll be thankful when the barn is up and finished.
The dogs have all taken the move well. Jill and her 7 puppies are doing fine. I have 3 still unspoken for.
I wish I had pictures(though the place is unimpressive at this point), but we have somehow misplaced our camera during the move. I am on Mom's computer at her house because my phone line isn't connected yet, so I haven't got my computer up yet. When I do, I should have a little more internet time. Right now I barely have a chance to check my e-mail.
OH! Speaking of e-mail. My new e-mail addy is ozark_jewels at yahoo.com.
The fourreal addy is no longer mine.
I have a cell phone, but no land line yet. For those of you who have my old number, pm or e-mail me for the new one, please.
For those of you where were looking forward to seeing what my hermaprodite looked like when I butchered her, I have bad news. As curious as I was as well, I jumped at the chance for her to go to a good home as a companion to a wether. They needed one right away and as she was so sweet, it worked perfectly. They will give her a good home, I'm sure. It also lightened my load for moving, as they took her right before I moved the herd. Rose, she was the goat you saw in my pick-up when you passed us on Hwy 60 a few weeks ago.

She was on her way to her new home. So, while I am still curious as to her internal workings....I'm also relieved that I won't have to butcher the sweet girl.
Any more news......???? Hmmmmmmm......Can't think of any right now, though I know there is some more. I hope to be back on here more often in the near future. Just need to get my phone line up and my computer running.
I have some pm's that I will try to catch up on today and tomorrow.
