Goats and chicken feed??

Is there something in chicken feed that goats shouldn't have or is it the amount they eat if they accidentally get into it? I can get chicken feed (laying mash) If I want it but I don't want to poision the goats. Could it be mixed in small amounts in their alfalfa pellets? Like cracked corn (which it looks like is the majority of the feed).

Would you feed your child dog chow? No.

Don't feed your goats chicken chow. It is designed for chickens with minerals for chickens, etc.

Yes.

If they gorge on it, it packs up and won't move through their systems well. But mixed in with pellets and fed in moderation, no problem. Free is pretty cheap.
