Hay in Tennessee

Ha! Even having cut hay on the ground did not cause it to rain on my farm! We had a 50% chance, but the one rain cloud up my way went south of my hayfields by less than a mile. Rest of the day is cloudy and 20% chance. 10-day is all sun.

BTW, if anyone in TN or north AL needs hay, I expect to have 10-15 4x5 rolls of good grass hay for sale out of this cutting, and I'll make a below-market take-it-all price to goat forum folks. So if you've been looking in the paper and been shocked by hay prices, just PM me. We'll be rolling it today or tomorrow. I can load you.

I'll put it on the Barter Board and advertise it locally once it's all rolled and ready.

It was actually RAINING here when I got up this morning. I'm in Tennessee, up north of Nashville, close to the Kentucky border. I was shocked to see it, because we didn't even have it in the forecast.

It rained quite a bit in the greeneville area yesterday. The kids were home (no water at the schools) and said it didn't do much there. (Btw, I'm lurking 'cause I am really thinking of buying a goat and want to be informed before I do.). Oh, and Jim if you don't sell all your hay to goat people ( I'm lol-ing at that visual!) Could you price it to me? Thanks.

Hi Charaty - don't mean to hijack your thread Jim - what are you going to do with your prospective goats? If you are in Greeneville area you aren't far from Fias Co. Farm. BTW I'm MBKTown from the HHT forum!
