Up here, does fifty, bucks half the time are giveaways. When they're being sold, bucks seem to hover in the thirty five dollar range. At least that's my experience... but I'm in NE Texas, may be vastly different where you are and what the demand for them is like.

I think it would depend on your market, and whether or not the animals were pedigreed show quality, or fat little yard pets. Prices vary wildly everywhere. Check craigslist.

They are freebies here also unless they are pedigreed show stock that are then sold out of the area or out of state. I have never heard of one show around here. Not even our zoo uses them anymore for the petting zoo. Vicki

I wish Oregon would adopt that attitude. I'm pretty sick of tripping over pygmies at every county fair - the Oregon State Fair had 25 different pygmy goat exhibitors, and ONE lamancha breeder showing (Fir Meadow). People treat them as a viable option to dairy goats, and a registered buck can command as much as a dairy buck. It's insane.
