we have reached harmonious balance

ive got cows that after calving attack any dogs that come within 40 yards or so. when i added goats and pyrs i hoped that the pyrs would stay out of their way. they did. but they have been doing more than just tolerating each other. twice this last week ive seen the calf sleeping not far from a dog and the momma is quite a distance away. i think they are using the dogs as baby sitters just like the goats do.
