Fence height?

I wasn't planning on gaots, but...a milk cow is beyond our financial means at the moment. I have the choice of Lamancha or a nubian, both 3 years old and currently being milked. What kind of fence do I need? I have a small-ish area fenced with about 4 and a half foot high horse panels, I think. Never owned a goat or milked anything before. WE have 20 acres but the fencing is mostly not suitable for goats.

Thanks for the help!

All depends on the goat. I have milkers that would never dream of trying to get out, and little Nigie's that will climb any fence in their way! Really, see what the current owner is using.

Sorry For The Caps
Keyboard Malfunction

As Others Said It Depends On The Goat But It Also Depends On Your Location And What Type Of Predators You Are Keeping Out

Also Depends On What Type Of Fence You Use

Please Do Not Get Just One Goat As They Need Company Of Their Own Kind

I'd for sure get 2 so no one would be lonely. The area feeds into the barn where they would be kept for the night as we have an active coyote population.
