registered buck service in Texas

Hi, I will be breeding my reg nubian doe this October and I need the services of a reg buck. I would not mind buying a buck for next year, I don't have room for one right now. I live in Lee Co and I am 50 miles east of Austin. I don't mind driving about two hours one way to come to your farm. Is there anyone who can accomodate me and my girl? I am new to this and would love any advice or words of wisdom. I know that I would be concerned for someone to bring their goat to my farm, so what do I need to do to make sure my doe is ok to go to your farm? Thanks,Gina

Ask on our forum dairygoatinfo.com Sondra has a nice buck as do others at least near Austin. I am north of Houston between HWY 59 and HWY 45...so between Huntsville and Cleveland on the map. I do stud service but you have to bring her in heat here to be bred, I don't have room to board. $50. It's why having even your own young buck is soo key, you are really stuck breeding to what you can find, and being new, most folks bring them to me too late in the heat cycle, so you come back the next month, and the next or miss the cycle all the way around....which means no milk.

I will have a buck for sale November first if you want to call me and talk about him...depending upon your goals...he is Saada Winn Jammer on my website lonesomedoenubians.com Vicki

Another choice is to find someone near you who can do AI for you. Yahoo has a ton of special interest goat lists - it would be a good start to find either semen or a buck to use.

homeschoolmama, I am about 7 miles away from you, more or less, and have a reg. LaMancha buck if you need something local and you need to freshen your doe.

vicki, thanks for replying. I will look into making room for another buck.

DocM thanks for the advice.

FerelNature, thanks but I think I want to stay with Nubians. She is registered and I want to sell registered babies. Thanks again. Gina
