What a cutie.... Possibly a SaanenXNubian cross. Were you able to see either of the parents?

Such a cutie(the son too).. If you are keeping the goat as a pet it won't hurt for your son to treat it like a dog. I used dog type trianing for my pet pygmies and they are sweethearts at a little over 2 yrs.

I would say there is definitely Saanen in there. The white gene is apparently very dominant, as evidenced by all my white goats. I had a Saanen buck, but it didn't matter what he was crossed with: Toggenburg, Nubian, pygmy (accidentally); all the babies came out white and even down the line the results have been white offspring, or light shades of tan/brown.

I have a wonderful doe out of him and my Togg doe and she looks all Saanen. I have a wether out of him and a black and brown Nubian doe; he looks like a flop-eared Saanen (his name is "Flop").

I love Saanens!

Janis

(Very cute, by the way!)

I would say he is a boer/ nubian cross. At least he looks identical to some babies we just had of that variety.

Looks like one of my boer cross kids. Mine did have one brown spot on his neck. Watch the ears and nose for sun burn if he is out alot. They will just lay and roast in the sun.
