First off, why did she let him go if he was scouring? I never let a kid off my place unless it's totally healthy. And that the breeder acknowledged this means she should be responsible. Kids don't handle stress well in the first place and to stick you with this in a new home, even if it's just something like functional diarrhea isn't the way to go.
Having said that, yes, eating a lot of grass can bring on the runs. What color is it, how old is the boy? Has he been treated at all for cocci? Was he wormed prior to your worming? Is it weaned or still on milk?
Hopefully it's just temporary. But if this kid has not had any cocci treatment I would probably hit the Sulmet in any event.
