I have one, but it is a foreign model. I just take it apart after I use it and clean it well.

Can you post pics? I saw your post asking about the manual plava...I have an electric seperator but other than the motor parts I'm sure there is little differences.

Instructions say to wash and assemble the parts...run hot water through it after it's assembled to warm the parts. Milk should be warmed to around 100 degrees before running through. Hope this helps some...

Did you get a manual?

I can't imagine putting one back together without one - mine has been a nightmare but we have worked out a love/hate relationship, lol.

I have a foreign model, hand crank cream separator. I guess I'd need more specific questions?

Okay there is the gear box that the crank is attached to - that part is fine. Next comes this heavy metal flywheel/funnel thing that spins when you turn the handle - does that open up? Does the milk go through it? how do you clean it?
Then you have the two little bowls with spouts, then the big bowl on top - does the bowl spin or is it stationary? I will try to get pictures up later today

Yes, that cone opens up. There are 11 to 13 thinner cones inside. Plus a plastic piece and an O-ring...

See those 2 little holes/indentations on the top?
Those are where you put the two prongs from your wrench that came with the separator (hopefully).
If you bought it used and got no wrench, then use a pair of pliers, that round piece on the top is a nut that holds it all together.

When you put it back together, pay attention and get the little nub on the bottom lined up with the little cut out space for it.

The little cones - half have round indentation, half don't. Mine came with them put in every other one - one plain, one indented, one plain, one indented, etc.

Edited to add: don't forget to add sewing machine oil to the bottom gear box. Mine said 4 to 6 ounces - Until it comes up half way in the little plastic window where you add it, when spinning it fast...they start out hard to turn, but then the oil gets kicked up and they almost run themselves...

Yep..looks all there to me. The inside holes on the "cone" shaped parts are keyed, or at least they are on mine...they match up and all go on the same way...it's really not so easy to tell the correct way sometimes. Good luck with it.
