question... trips

I have been told that if you have trips and you have two does than one will be infertal and vise versa with bucks?!? is this true? i'm just trying to be prepared for when my little ones get big... I had a togg a few years ago and she had two sets of three and since i heard that i'm hoping i didn't sell someone a bad baby without knowing!!

I haven't heard that about goats, but it is more common than not with cattle. Both twins are usually sterile with cattle, they're called free martins. I have had lots of trips and twins of different sexes.

I have does that were trips. They have all had kids all had singles the first year and one had a single and the others had twins this year. The other set of trips I have were 2 does and one buck. The buck was a prolific breeder. Both does had twins the first year and both gave me trips this year.Sooo I would say wives tale.
