They're gorgeous! But you've splattered paint all over a couple of 'em.

Now I'm going to have to get out the paintbrush for my nubian. They are so cool. Your herd is very good looking.

I'm curious....are nubians built sleeker than alpines in general? I'm looking at Kitty, in particular. She is built just like my Lilly. I always worried that Lilly was too thin, b/c she is not as stocky as Lightning, who has half alpine. But Lilly seems healthy, just thinner. And Kitty is beautiful!

they are lovely!! I love abby, because thats my name, but i also like her coloring and structure. our nubians are not anywhere near that pretty. the only nubian that really looks good in our herd is our nubian buck, who is purebred registered and is very lovely. the thing i like to look for in goats is the wide chest ( in boars) and i also like the neck to be carried out and down, rather than up and '' streched'' anyway, you really didn't need a lecture- i love your herd, and are any pregnant? if so when are they due

thanks, SJ

Ooh, I love the spots. If you ever breed Dapples or one of her spotted daughters to a pygmy buck, I swear I'll drive all the way out there to buy any daughters that result! (I s'pose I really ought to ask how she milks, but, but, pretty!)

Dapples is my second favorite milk doe. If you check out my website, you can see a rear udder shot of her. I have Pygmyies too, so breeding her to a Pygmy buck could be done.

Oh my, that is a nice udder! The aerial view of your farm is quite lovely too. And Google Maps says that Indiana is only fifteen hours away. Granted, that's central Indiana, dunno which part you're in.

Nubians are seasonal breeders, right? So she'll start going into heat again come fall? Hmm.... If the town OKs my petition to raise goats (meeting on the 25th), I might want to crunch a few numbers with you.

I thought Nubians went into heat year round? Or is it just that they "could" have a heat cycle off season, but that's not the norm?
