Toxic Smallhead Sneezeweed

For the residents of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arkansas please read. Smallhead Sneezeweed is a toxic sunflower to Horses, cattle, Sheep and Goats. The following link has information and pictures. Numerous sheep including a flock of 30 animals have recently died in the Fredericksburg, TX area. The plant grows primarily in moist areas such as around tanks, springs and seeps.

Reposted here. I went all over my property looking. Found 2 plants growing in the drainage ditch at the edge of my property.

Sounds nasty! Around here's is giant hogweed. That stuff will burn your skin with the slightest contact. I don't know about livestock eating it though.

Yes, Giant Hogweed is toxic to goats. There was a long thread about it on some forum or another not long ago. May even have been this one.
