How much to charge for a wether for a pet??

I have a Boer/Nubian cross wether. He is adorable. Someone wants to know how much we'd charge for a wether as a pet. I don't know what to say. I was going to butcher him for the freezer at age 9 months. I'm not even sure how much meat I'd get off him?? Do you know? He is only 50% Boer. Mom is a reg. Nubian. So 2 questions....how much meat would he have possibly and how much do you all charge for something like him? Thanks!!

I sell meat lambs for $130 a head, so a pet is the same price. Unless they have other goats I would make them buy 2 or none at all so they wouldnt be alone .

The amount of meat would be about half of his live weight

Around here, a purebred wether goes for $75-100.

I'd agree to sell them at least two.

if you decide to sell it and advertise it for sell

then you may want to put something about working like pulling a cart
it may help you to sell it.
