pygmy birthing links?

Hi all, I have a pygmy doe that is due to kid around the 22nd of this month. I have been looking at some sites, including Fias, however they are on other goats, not pygmy's, my question is, is there a site that deals directly with pygmy and there birth, I am sure not all goats look alike during labor. This is both mine and her first time doing this, and I am ready, but clueless lol. thanks for any info you can give me.

Dawn,
A goat is a goat is a goat. the only trouble you might have is they tend to have more trouble kidding, and the babies are bigger then the mom can handle and they have trouble. Be prepared like you would for any other goat.

I am not an expert and I know a goat is a goat and will kid the same way, not dumb like you make me sound. I am new and asking a important question which seems like I have to go elsewhere to find, thanks but no thanks

No need to get defensive. There is no difference in a Pygmy birthing than a Nubian birthing. If you have good links to birthing pictures of other goats, the Pygmies will be the same. They just have smaller babies. I don't know what else you want to hear.

Hugs28,
As a pygmy breeder, I can tell you the amount of room you have for delivery is nil. I never let my does kid unassisted. A snare or small hands have come in handy many times. The NPGA website has many breeders and other info you can use. There are many resourse books also available. See the merchandise page. Good luck.
