if he pushes you , and you move away, you just teach him that he can control you. if this is the beginning of a test of whos boss he just figured out your a pretty easy pushover! literally. if this is a "who's boss" thing I think that the second he "thinks" about doing this you shove him hard away from you, or do something really annoying such as wave your hand in his face quickly getting closer (and if he doesn't back away just keep going and smack him). I am mostly speaking from experience with horses but any prey- herd animal has similiar behaviour in this regard, and you might already be in for a challenge because he thinks he's put you in your place. my goats will do something similiar to this just to get scratched too though. the point is you don't like it and want it to stop. the solution is the same irregardless of the reason behind the behaviour. something unpleasant must happen when he does it.
