It Happened Again!!!

DS just called and said "Cami had a baby, only one". She's a first freshener and I thought she'd only have one. She wasn't that large. Mom and kid are doing fine, but again, I am at work, don't know if it's a buck or a doe, don't know if it's chamoisee like mama or pied like daddy. I need to hit the lottery or something so I can stay home with my babies!

If it makes you feel any better... I don't work outside the house, and they still always seem to kid when I'm out and my DH is home.

Last year, my ff had my first goat babies. I was just coming home from the store when she kidded. As I walked from the car to the house, I waved to her in her pen. It took a moment for me to process why there was blood on her rear (She was at day 138). I ran to the pen to find a soaking wet kid. I ran to get towels and 2 more kids had dropped in the 2 minutes I was gone! I missed the delivery!! I was bummed...but it's better than needing to assist or having something go wrong.

I have a doe due in a week. I am determined to be there!

Congratulations on the new baby! I'll cross my fingers that you win the lotto. Play this week, okay?

Oh, my husband is leaving for one night next week. How much you wanna bet my doe will kid that night and I'll be all stressed out about having my own kids in the house alone while I am assisting?
