Wow

What a great trio + of goats I just picked up , they are good moma's and the plus is one of them had adopted a buckling and the people I purchased from just gave him to us. Got them home and they love our place. they were in with a larger herd and in seperate pens here we only have 6 goats total and they share just under an acre with our chickens and turkeys. They wandered around like CHILDREN iin a Candy store. taking tastes of the grass here and a taste of the weeds there, very happy. They were milked and we are very please with the amount of milk and the temperment of the Goats. Tommarrow we are going to pick up a "throw away, Wether" people just don't want him and don't eat goat. They knew we will and do raise goats for meat as well as milk and so they don't have to feed him, they give him away. I think... am not sure.. that they may have tried to sell him to others but couldn't, just a "feeling" nothing solid though.

Interesting mix there. Airplane ears, floppy ears, no ears.

Oh how pretty! I like the black ones! That nubian looks really nice. Does she have a big splash of white on her side? I like black goats even though I do raise saanens. HAHA! I only have 1 black one here and that's my little tiki torch who is a black and white painted lamancha. Cute although slightly cooky LOL! One of those whose mouth moves at all times and likes to nibble. Are any of them registered? Are they all does aside from the little baby buck kid anyhow..... very very pretty group there Mr Hoppes! You should be very proud of your new goat possee..... haha.... good luck with the new venture!

those

Those were just the NEWest Goats All together I have two tog does, 1 Lamancha doe, 1 Nubian doe very prego, One Boer wether, and one buckling mixer. later oday I will be picking up another wether buckling mixer. I never intended to have so many wethers but... sometimes you just have to go with the flow.. When we bought this house 2 yrs ago we never intended to have animals, just a garden and lots of play area for our children. But then the whole Cows milk allergy came up and we liiked the idea of having our own livestock of milk so on we went from there. We also have 8 hens of various breeds 1 rooser, 26 chicks, and 5 brown Turkeys.

Here is southern IN it has been raining off and on for a couple of days. Today we got some of it to where you could only see a couple hundred feet in front of you. It's like a swamp down here!
