I was just wondering when all of you guys sell your kids, i mean at what age? i seen some at the auction a few weeks ago that were small i mean about a month old, it's just like they picked them off the nannies and put them in a ring...i doubt they were bottle fed...oh yeah and they were boer goats...just wondering, cause i don't know what age to sell mine? any thought or suggestions...thanks you'all!!!

Here the earliest I wean is 10 weeks, IF and only IF they are eating hay, grain and drinking water good. Most of the time we wean at 12 weeks though.

For us, Bottle kids are usually sold at 2 - 4 weeks of age. Dam raised go when weaned (3 - 5 months). I wouldn't take a bottle baby to auction though, they wouldn't go until weaned, if at all.

But yes, I have seen very young kids sold at auction. One time, a doe actually had her kids right before she was to be auctioned, and I believe they were sold Separately.

I weaned mine(last november) at 12 weeks but didn't sell them until they were five months old and i lost alot of money from feeding them, i didn't get a good price at all...so i thought i'd sell earlier...but i want to make sure they are good and weaned, healthy, and happy before sending them off....I dunno what to do yet! thanks!
