Is she in labor?
She has a little clear/white bubble that comes out slowly, then a red bubble follows. The red gets about the size of a plum, then it stays out a few seconds and goes back in, taking the clear/white bubble with it. This happens when she stands with her front feet up on the fence. When she gets off the fence and stands with all 4 feet on the ground, the bubble goes back in.
She's eating a little, but not much, just a few nibbles of leaves from a tree that's in the pen she's in. Her pen has access to outside. She's separated from the others by a fence so they can see each other, and even rub noses, but not get any closer together.
DD took some pics so I can post them if you need to see what I mean. Otherwise, I'm going back out and watch her. There'll probably be no supper tonight! LOL

Thanks Marisa, I was looking at those a few days ago.
Her ligaments have been doing the "come and go" thing for a couple of days. About the time I'm sure they are gone, then suddenly they are back. Confusing at the least. I can put my fingers around and touch them.
She's doing a lot of laying down, getting up, laying down, getting up....
She's had the opaque white discharge for 3 days. It hasn't turned amber.
She's been more vocal than normal this evening.
She's also been stretching. I assume that is what she's doing when she puts her front feet up on the fence and stretches her head up. (that's when the bubbles start showing)
She's also rubbing against the fence a lot, kind of like she's scratching an itch.
I've only had 2 does kid before and they both did it unexpectedly in the night. It was fun to find the kids the next morning, but if I know she's kidding tonight, I'd like to be there in case anything goes wrong.

pics coming in a few minutes.
She keeps rubbing her head on the gate, the fence, the gate, everywhere she can reach.
Oops, I meant to say the gate, the fence, the wall, and everywhere she can reach. Although she is rubbing all over things again and again. Could that be because we moved her to the birthing pen to keep her separate from the others? Is she putting her scent on the pen?

Here's a pic of the bubbles. They are now staying even when she is down on all 4 feet, not only when she is stretching. What looks like a little white bubble is a bubble that looks to be full of liquid.

She's prolapsing somewhat, and I'll bet she's trying to 'position' the babies when she stands like that. I've been reading the birthing chapter in Goat Medicine over and over (my first kids due in the next week), and so I read this, no direct experience. It said what you describe, with pressure (her standing on the fence) the cervix protrudes, but goes back in easily. It sounded sort of common and resolves fine after birth. So after all that yada yada, sounds like you'll have kids soon.

DD is out there watching her and just called from the barn to tell me that it's staying out now, not disappearing back inside like it was earlier.
Now I know how those nervous fathers feel when they are pacing outside the delivery room. It's much easier to be the one doing the work than it is to be the one setting and waiting for something to happen. LOL

That definately looks like a prolapse. If this was my doe I'd be getting a vet out. I dont know much about prolapses. It could get worse, and it may not. You may get kids out easily, you may end up with more of a prolapse. Good Luck.

No vet available. They only cater to cows & horses in my area. I'll try to call, but I know they won't answer until tomorrow. Is there something I can do for her?

DD just called again and said she's chewing a lot, and she thinks she sees a hoof coming out. If it's a hoof, is that good? Is chewing or grinding her teeth normal? she also said she keeps pushing her horns against the wall. I'm so worried now. I'm afraid she's in pain and I don't know how to help her.
Put a call in to 2 vets. waiting to see if they call back.
