Angry Annoying weather (the outside kind, like snow)

No, this post really has nothing to do with goats, but I wanted to complain, and you guys are always there for that sort of thing.

Ahem, it is not supposed to snow in April. Or if it is, its at least supposed to melt the next day. Well, its been snowing pretty much non stop for 3 days! Grrr. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't warm last week, but it was in the mid 70's on the Monday before last. Its cold snow, too, the kind that drifts.

Okay, I'll put in something goaty. Yukiko is due on May 2nd. Last year she kidded on May 1st, and it was about 60 degrees F. I'm guessing this year it's going to be 40 or something. Hmmph.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. But it's still snowing.

I feel your pain. I'm thankful that at the moment I'm not feeling your snow, but I definately feel your pain. It's 25 degrees here. After 70's the week before. It is a horrible shock to every system.

Oh, I feel your pain! I picked up a new herd sire three weeks ago. My quarantine pens were flooded with snow melt so I decided to keep him in the kitchen until the pens dried out. Made sense when it was 72 and sunny out.

Now that there is 6 INCHES of new snow and 0 degrees, he's still camping in the kitchen. For those of you that gagged at the idea of a buck in the kitchen, he is only a month old. He has already tried to impregnate all the dining room chairs, my three housecats, an empty gallon jug, two day old doelings, and the step stool. He knows his job. Urg.

If I pitch him outside, he might get pneumonia. So the kitchen will stay boarded off until the temps outside stay in the 50s.

The charm of frolicking baby goats is greatly diminished when the frolicking is done on my bare toes during a bleary coffee-making attempt at 5 am.

It was 55 degrees above zero today, sunny, warm wind, and the snow has all melted off our roof.

Sorry!

I'm just glad our 6 months of sub-zero weather is over!!
