Pyrs vegging it.

Ok, I couldn't resist. Here are some pics I snapped of my Pyr pups and their mother, Jill, tonight. I was giving everyone their shots and worming.....you can tell it really upset them a lot....

The white pup looks just like a baby polar bear!

They are precious, Thanks!

Well....its hard to tell from this distance, but I think your male is the one Jill is nuzzling in the group picture and I think your female is the one who is facing us on the far right. There is one pup missing from that picture...she was sitting on my foot when I snapped that pic. They are doing really well.

They are the cutest puppies! I was thinking polar bear too with that one white one. I wish we had more land, and/or weren't so close to the highway. I'd love to have a GP but I've heard they roam no matter what fencing you put up, and I'd be constantly worried about getting hit.

Great looking pups Emily. I would sooo love to have one. But until the Old Man outside goes home to the Lord...I don't think I can.

I also have a large dog..Daqs..that is both outside and inside. Do the Pyrs tolerate dogs that originate on the homestead? I just think they are amazing animals.

They are amazing animals. My pyrs(and the Anatolians I have owned), all tolerate dogs they have been introduced to. We have five "farm/yard dogs". One Husky, one mutt, one collie, one collie/anatolian, and one anatolian/catahoula hound. My Pyrs are familiar with and get along well with all of them. Now when a friend brings his Border Collie over, the Pyrs know him and *tolerate* him, but they are *always* watching for inappropriate behaviour from him as well. They keep him in his place.
